ENID, OK - Christ Tree, the centerpiece to The One, shines bright in Northwest Oklahoma again! A true Christmas miracle! The 140-ft fresh-cut Christmas tree suffered damage due to high winds on the evening of December 5, 2021. Approximately 27 ft of the tree broke off from the top, was safely retrieved, and lowered to the ground, but has now been repaired and re-attached to the top. Due to the wind damage, a small portion of the tree was lost; Don Rose, lead engineer for The One and locally-owned company, Kline Signs, re-attached the top of Christ Tree. In addition, a custom-built 5-ft LED light star was added to resurrect the World’s Tallest fresh-cut Christmas Tree, now towering about 141 ft with the star.
The perimeter and archway trees were also damaged due to the high winds but restored to their original designs. The Enid-owned floral company, Enid Floral & Gifts, and the owner, Ryan Fossett, and his fantastic team and volunteers have been integral in repairing the 12 perimeter trees and two archways.
Christ Tree will remain the centerpiece of our 42-day event. Visitors are encouraged to continue to visit northwest Oklahoma to experience The One from now through January 6. For the most up-to-date information and updates, please check the official Facebook page for The One Enid.

Northwest Oklahoma is on the pursuit to help restore the true meaning of Christmas while preparing to welcome the Majesty of the Christmas holiday, with “The One”.
“The One”, a truly memorable Christmas season experience located in the heart of Downtown Enid, will feature the “Christ Tree”. Standing about 140’ tall and decorated with 25,000 lights and 10,000 ornaments, the “Christ Tree” will be the centerpiece of the 42-day event along with concerts, plays, and activities celebrating the Christmas Holiday. “The One” event kicked off the evening of November 26 with the “Christ Tree” lighting in conjunction with Main Street Enid’s “Lights up the Plains” parade and fireworks show.
The “Christ Tree” journeyed 2,000 miles from the Shasta National Forest in California where it was chosen from trees marked for harvest. Towering about 75% taller than the world-famous Rockefeller Center tree in New York City and ringed by a forest of 12 smaller trees, the “Christ Tree” serves as a bright beacon in honor of the true meaning of Christmas: The Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Main Street Enid, Stride Bank and Visit Enid will again host the very popular “Holidays on Ice” outdoor skating rink, adjacent to "Christ Tree". Open afternoon and evening during the week and all day on weekends. A hospitality tent is available to schedule your private parties and catered events.
“The One” has been led by Kyle Williams, an entrepreneur in Enid who has championed this event. “We are excited to offer families an incredible experience, one that will create memories to last a lifetime. Our main goal is to highlight the true meaning of Christmas; celebrating Jesus' birth. This evergreen tree represents everlasting life and the 25,000 lights point to Jesus as the Light of the World. We are also looking forward to welcoming visitors to Enid and are confident that they will have a wonderful experience.” Kyle said.
