ENID, OK - Orr for Enid 2021 is excited to announce Scott Orr’s candidacy for Enid’s Ward 6 City Commissioner seat in the February 9, 2021 municipal election. Orr is a native of Lincoln, NE and came to Enid by way of Vance AFB. Orr proudly served our nation as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force for twenty-one years. Currently, he is a pilot for a major U.S. airline and is a T-6 simulator instructor at Vance. Orr and his wife of 25 years, Kristi, chose Enid as their permanent home because of their love of our community and the many great friends they have made. The Orrs have two adult children; Logan, 22, and Ashyln, 19.
Orr is motivated to run for office because of his leadership experience in the U.S. Air Force. He believes representative leadership, priority based decisions, and financial stewardship will serve the people of Enid well. He understands that elected officials must make many tough decisions and that they represent their constituents best when they balance relevant factors with the desires of the voters. Prioritizing issues ensures resources are directed appropriately and provides measurable goals. Orr believes elected officials need to treat revenue as a finite resource and commit to prudent spending by avoiding debt whenever possible.
Orr is asking Ward 6 voters for their support in the February 9th election and looks forward to meeting with voters over the next several weeks.
