ENID, OK - Garfield County numbers as of Friday, November 27 have increased to 132 (up from 72.5 last week). So in order to try to help decrease community spread, EPS will conduct virtual/distance learning districtwide for the next two weeks (Nov. 30-Dec. 11).
Please note: EPS will be in communication with families regarding when students may return to school for in-person instruction. EPS plan states that if our county is in level red as noted by the model the state board of education is using, that automatically puts our district in distance/virtual learning for two weeks. As it stands right now, the earliest date for in-person instruction would be Monday, December 14.
About Distance Learning
Our team worked very hard this summer to prepare for this school year, including the possibility that distance learning would be temporarily necessary. Your child’s teacher will be in touch with them soon to begin that process. If you do not have access to appropriate technology or the internet, please contact the EPS Information Technology Department at (580) 366-7070. Finally, we know some students may have textbooks or personal belongings at school they need over the next two weeks. To retrieve these items, please contact your child’s campus to arrange for a safe pickup time and location. If you have any additional questions, please also contact your school site.
There is nothing more important to Enid Public Schools than the safety and health of our students and staff. We appreciate the public’s cooperation and support.

Enid Public Schools looks forward to continuing to serve families. The district moving to distance learning has not changed that commitment.
If you are looking to enroll a student new to EPS, you may either do so online at enidpublicschools.org à click the Enrollment tab at the top of the page à and clicking NEW Student Online Registration, or schedule an in-person appointment with the Welcome Center. They are located at 500 S. Independence and their hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Please note that only one person is admitted at a time to enroll (please do not bring children with you) and must have all documentation listed below to enroll your student.
You will need the following documents:
Student Certified Birth Certificate (no hospital footprints, please)
Immunization records (current immunization records provided by a licensed physician or a public health authority)
Verification of address (lease agreement, utility statement, cable bill, DHS mailings, etc.)
Withdraw grades (grades 6th-12th, if school has started)
Unofficial High School Transcript (9th-12th grade students only)

Meal Services
Enid Public Schools Child Nutrition Department will continue to provide meals to families during the week of November 16-20. There are two options available to families to pick up meals:
Families can drive through the pick-up line located between the Central Kitchen (519 S. Washington) and the Administrative Services Center (500 S. Independence); or
Pick up meals at Waller Middle School (2604 W. Randolph)
In order to help with social distancing and to keep everyone safe, meals will be set out on table and patrons will be asked to get out of their vehicle and pick them up.
Meals will be available for pick up between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for each student in your household under the age of 18. Please have students in the car with you for meal pick-up.
Central Kitchen will be closed for Thanksgiving break, November 23-27, and will not distribute meals that week. They look forward to continuing to serve families on Monday, November 30.
