Private family services will be held for Alton “Troy” Lemley at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid.
Troy was born on August 27, 1945 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Alton Thomas and Ruby Estelle Stockstill Lemley and died on November 10, 2020 in Enid.
Troy graduated from Lovington New Mexico High School. On July 2, 1965, he married Mona Gearhart in Columbus, Kansas and they made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas. They later lived in Lovington, New Mexico, Enid, Drummond and Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Troy worked as a diesel mechanic in the oilfield most of his life. He later worked at Wheeler Brothers in Kingfisher, before retirement. Troy enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren, Amanda, Christa, Kaitlyn, Jerrod and Haley and great grandchildren, Bentley, Jaspen, Mason, Addison, Abigail and Emmalynn and bonus grandchildren, Karinda and Jacob, and great grandchildren, Joeshia and Derreck.
Troy is survived by his two sons and their wives, Junior Lemley and wife Natalie of Drummond, and Stephen Lemley and wife, Kristie of Enid; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two bonus grandchildren and two bonus great grandchildren; brother and wife, Donnie and Toni Lemley; brother-in-law, Monty Gearhart; sister-in-law, Reva Lemley; other relatives and friends.
Troy was preceded in death by his wife, Mona; son, Mark Lemley; parents; two brothers, Tommy and Terry; sister, Fern.
Memorials may be made to Drummond United Church of Christ.
