Funeral services for Sarah Meier, 20 of Darrouzett, Texas will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 10:30 am on the Darrouzett Football Field with Pastor Gary McDonald officiating. People attending will need to bring their lawn chairs as bleacher seating is limited. The use of masks are strongly encouraged Burial will follow in Darrouzett Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at Anderson-Burris. Visitation will be at Boxwell Chapel, Booker, Texas, Friday, 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Sarah was born on September 30, 1999 in Perryton, Texas to John and Sheila (Patterson) Meier and died on September 14, 2020 in Dallas, Texas.
She grew up in Darrouzett and graduated from Darrouzett High School, Class of 2018. Sarah then attended Frank Phillips College in Perryton, Texas. She enjoyed being with her friends and classmates. Sarah was baptized on April 27, 2014 in the First Baptist Church in Darrouzett. She received a liver transplant 2015. Family time was so important to Sarah.
She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Joshua; grandpa, Bob Meier; uncle, Kelly Patterson. Sarah is survived by her parents, John and Sheila Meier; brother, Specialist E4 James and wife, Veronica Meier; sister, Tiffany Meier; her pride and joy, niece, Brynlee Meier; grandparents, Carolyn Meier, James and Lela Patterson; uncles, Maxwell Meier and Les Patterson; aunt, Carol and husband, Michael Rutz; cousins, Alyssa, Kaden, Garrett, and Grayson Rutz, Kelli DeNee, Rebecca, Ashlon, and Brittany Patterson; special cousin, David Smith; other relatives and friends.
