Paul Addison Lamar, Jr., 79 of Enid, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 in Enid. He was born August 12, 1940 in Oklahoma City to Paul and Mary Ellen Ford Lamar, Sr. He attended OU on a wrestling scholarship and later transferred to Central State University in Edmond where he earned a BS degree in Chemistry.

He married Katherine Kimbrell in 1994 in Enid where they made their home. Paul was a chemist for Farmland Industries. He was also a veteran of the USAF and was in the Air National Guard.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Alice. In addition to his wife Katherine, he is survived by his children; Paul Lamar III, Dwight Lamar, Seth Lamar and his wife Shanna, and Melissa Soderlund and her husband Mel; six grandchildren, Tyler, Griffin, Joshua, Emma, Ava and Benjamin.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
