Jennie was born on October 3, 1931 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Charles and Mattie Stover McMains and died on April 26, 2020 in Sapulpa with her family by her side.

She grew up in Nowata and graduated from Nowata High School. On July 3, 1950, Jennie married William Orban in Florance, Arizona. They made their home at different military bases, following William’s career. After his discharge, they made their home in Enid, Oklahoma. Jennie wore many hats throughout her life: switchboard operator with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, hairstylist in Garber, Oklahoma, volunteer at Integris Bass Hospital, active in UMW at Christ United Methodist Church and cheerleader at her grandchildren’s events. Her hobbies included painting with acrylics, bird watching on the sun porch, creating amazing things with plastic canvas, cross stitching, ready and doing word search. Jennie moved to Sapulpa in 2013, to be closer to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; son, Terry Orban; daughter, Debra Oltmanns; brother, Kenneth McMains; sisters, Rosabell Wood and Monte Murnan.

Jennie is survived by her grandchildren, Sharon Orban, Jeffrey Oltmanns, Jason Crawley, Jennie Snow and husband Preston; great grandchildren Annalise Orban, Clare Oltmanns, Kinley, Wyatt, Rylan and Ashlyn Snow; sisters, Betty Overfelt and Carol Scott; numerous nieces and nephews.
