Stores Offering Special Hours For Seniors

ENID, OK - Several businesses in Enid are offering special hours to those in the most need. Seniors and those immunocompromised should be aware of these special shopping times. These hours help seniors avoid the crowds and possible infections.

Jumbo Foods is dedicating the first two hours every morning for senior AND immunocompromised citizens to shop. They are also increasing staffing during these times to better serve shoppers. Enid's family-owned hometown grocery store.

Walmart will host an hour-long senior shopping event for their shoppers aged 60 and older on Tuesday from 6-7am. The event will take place weekly through April 28. This will start one hour before the store opens. The Walmart vision center and pharmacy will also be open during this time. To help them serve as many customers as possible during that hour and to minimize wait time, they ask you to call in any prescription refills at least 24 hours in advance. CVS Pharmacy is offering dedicated hours for vulnerable/at-risk customers and their caregivers for an hour on Wednesdays. The special times will be 9-10am. In locations with a drive thru, all patients are welcome to utilize the drive thru during those times. Vulnerable guests include persons age 60 or older, pregnant women and persons defined by the CDC as vulnerable or at-risk. Get free Rx delivery. More details at CVS.com.

ALDI stores will open at 8:30am and reserve the first hour of business for vulnerable shoppers on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This includes senior citizens, expectant mothers and those with underlying health concerns.

Cash Saver is dedicating 7-8am to their senior customers and those who have a medical condition that puts them at risk from COVID-19.

Dollar General is strongly encouraging their first hour of operations, 8-9am, be dedicated to their senior shoppers.

    These stores must think all senior citizens don’t sleep much at night & get up very early! My husband & i, sister, my husbands brother don’t go to bed early & also don’t get up early! I worked nites for many yrs & slept days! My brother in law did the same! I would like to see some later stores hours for shopping!
