Verlin H. Bain was born January 16, 1942 in Cherokee, Oklahoma to Rosa Headrick-Bain-Hood and Vernon Bain and died March 5, 2020 in Oklahoma City.

He graduated from Carmen High School and Enid Business College. Verlin participated in sports in high school and farmed on the family property east of Carmen. He assisted neighboring farmers with baling hay. Verlin worked at FAILINGS and later GEFCO in Enid. He was a proud supporter of all 4_H and FFA events and exhibitors. Verlin started a pig business known as Bain Show Pigs on the farm in Cleo Springs.

He is survived by daughter, Robin and husband, Troy Spencer of Jefferson, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Sheila and husband, Nick Rockwell of Pond Creek; great grandchildren, Alexis Gleeson, Conner and Michael Rockwell; special friends, Troy and “Shooter” Gosney of Fairview and Louis of Enid.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Hood and husband, Leslie Hood; father, Vernon Bain.
