A Celebration of Life Service for LaVina J. Janzen age 98 of Enid will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020 in the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Asher Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Mennonite Brethren Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

LaVina was born June 7, 1921 in Janzen, Nebraska to Peter and Agatha Ratzlaff Reimer and passed away January 22, 2020 in The Commons Nursing Center. She was raised in the Buhler, KS area. She married A. W. Janzen on January 14, 1944 in Buhler, KS and he passed away June 27, 2006. LaVina was an active member of Enid Mennonite Brethren Church. She and A.W. were a Deacon Couple, and she was in many of the ladies groups and was a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing and watching all sports.

LaVina is survived by her four sons; Dwayne Janzen and wife Carol of Enid, Wayne Janzen and wife Lila of Edmond, Ron Janzen of Cresent, and Deryl Janzen and wife Bettie of Tulsa, OK, daughter, Teri Mendel and husband Kent of Enid, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, brother Delmer Reimer and wife Gerry and several other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Helen Adrian, brothers, Marvin Reimer and Roland Reimer, and her daughter-in-law, Loretta Janzen.

Memorials may be made to Tabor College in Hillsboro, KS or Enid Mennonite Brethren Church Endowment Fund with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
