Funeral services for Chad Douglas Hern, 27, will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Medford High School Auditorium with Pastor Scott Seagraves officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Rosemound Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Stittsworth Funeral Service, Medford. Family visitation will be held on Friday evening, January 3, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Stittsworth's.

Chad Douglas Hern was born in Enid, Oklahoma on September 22, 1992 and passed from this life on December 27, 2019.

Chad attended Medford Public Schools and was involved in many activities throughout his school years such as football, baseball, and FFA. He attended the Medford Baptist Church and was involved with the Baptist youth group, which his Uncle Don Bowman led.

Later Chad held many different jobs until he hired on with the Department of Transportation in Medford from 2017 until his death.

Chad will always be remembered for his smile, laughter and big heart. But he will mostly be remembered for the love of family, especially his 3 sons and 4 "step kids".

Chad is survived by his three boys, Logan Hern (his mother Connie) of Omaha, Nebraska, Landon and Levi Hern (and their mother Brittney Hendricks) of Snyder, Texas, girlfriend Carol Crowe and her children, Kaden, Olivia, Zariah, and Vivian of the home, Tonkawa, OK., father Doug Hern of Medford, OK, mother Kathy Hern of AZ, brother Jessie Hern and Cheyenne of Medford, OK, sister Tonya and Jason Johnson of Ponca City, OK, sister Laci Hern of Oklahoma City, nephews/nieces: Colton Hern and Jessie Hern Jr., Bailey, Blake, Madux, Carter and Bella Johnson, and Jordan and Amari Hern.Maternal grandma Barbara Bowman.

Chad was preceded in death by: niece Kamryn Hern, nephew Lane Hern, paternal grandparents L.D. & Lila Hern, and Uncle & Aunt Don and Lori Bowman. The family has requested, instead of flowers, please make memorial donation checks payable to a fund to be set up for Logan, Levi and Landon's Education.
