Celebration of life services for Diane Marie Roadenbaugh 68 of Cherokee, will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Cherokee, OK with Pastor Leeroy Goeken officiating. Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Diane was born December 26, 1950 in Stockton, California, the daughter of Clarence and Mable Pruden Hammon, and passed away suddenly on October 18, 2019 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Diane graduated from Franklin High School in Stockton California in 1969, she worked as a youth leader and at the Rollin’ Donut where she met Jim. Jim and Diane were married on January 31st, 1971 and made their home in Wichita, Kansas where they had 2 children, Michael and Vickey. Diane loved nurturing others, most of her married life she was able to stay home so she filled her younger years with an in-home daycare and she was always cooking. In 1988 Jim and Diane moved to their farm in Manchester, Oklahoma. Diane raised a huge garden and had every animal imaginable. In 1996 they moved to Cherokee, OK where she worked at the Chuckwagon cafe and the Cherokee Manor for a short time and made many friends. Diane decided she wanted to stay home and continue her passion of cooking and baking and she was known for just that. In 2003 Jim and Diane added to their family by adopting 2 nephews Cody Gilstrap and Cortez Reed.

Diane is surviveed by her husband Jim, son Michael Roadenbaugh of Cherokee, daughter Vickey Leech of Enid, Cody Gilstrap of Wyoming, Cortez Reed of Colorado, Grandaughter’s Jennah Roadenbaugh, Kassidy Thresher, Tishlyn Thresher and Grandson Brandon Roadenbaugh, 7 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by both her parents, sister and grandparents.
