ENID, OK - The Enid Sports Association, NJCAA Region 2, and Northern Oklahoma College are hosting the NJCAA Region 2 Men’s and Women’s Soccer Tournament Nov. 2-3 in Enid.

The two day tournament will be played at D. Bruce Selby Stadium in Enid and will consist of four semi-final games Nov. 2 and two championship games Nov. 3.

Six Region 2 schools participate in men’s soccer with the top four reaching the region tournament. Participating schools include NOC Tonkawa, Murray State College, Rich Mountain (AR), Northeastern Oklahoma State College, Rose State College, and Eastern Oklahoma State College.

Women’s teams include NOC Tonkawa, Murray State College, Eastern Oklahoma State College, Seminole State College, Rose State College, Northeastern Oklahoma State College, Redlands Community College, and Rich Mountain (AR) with the top four reaching the region tournament.

NJCAA Region 2 Director Mike St. John is excited for the new partnership.

“Region 2 of the NJCAA is privileged to have the opportunity for the Enid Sports Association and the City of Enid to host our Men’s and Women’s Region 2 Soccer Tournament,” St. John said. “The City of Enid and David Allen Ballpark have been friends of the NJCAA and Region 2 for many years and we welcome the opportunity to work with the Enid Sports Authority in hosting our Region 2 Soccer Tournament.”

NOC Athletic Director Jeremy Hise is also excited to bring another region tournament to Enid.

“Northern Oklahoma College is excited for the opportunity to work with the good people at the Enid Sports Association and Enid High School to bring this event to our community,” Hise said. “I am confident that the young men and women who come to Enid in early November to compete for an NJCAA Region 2 Championship will be impressed by the support they receive from the City of Enid.”
Enid Sports Association Executive Director Jessica Nelson added her excitement.

NOC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers associate degrees in three general areas: Arts, Science and Applied Science. The associate degree fulfills lower-division course work which is applicable towards a bachelor’s degree.
