David Ray Jenkins

Celebration of life service for David Jenkins, 65 of Enid, will be Wednesday, June 19, at Emmanuel Enid at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dallas Caldwell. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 18, from 5:00-6:30 pm at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

David was born May 16, 1954 in Enid, to Stanley and Wynona (Langkiet) Jenkins, and passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Enid.

David grew up in Enid, graduated from Enid High School and Phillips University. On July 31, 1976, he married Linda Schimon in Enid where they made their home. David's career was with OG&E for over thirty-three years, and during this time he received his masters in business from SNU. After his retirement, he worked for McCoy Tree Service in Norman as operations manager. David was a member of Emmanuel Enid. There was nothing David loved more than spending time with his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life.

David is survived by his wife Linda; children Katy Prock (Dustin), Annie Gladden (Trasean) and Zachary Jenkins (Erin); grandchildren Nevaeh Prock, Lailah Prock, Baron Prock, Julian Jenkins, Rowan Gladden, Addison Jenkins, and Zyler Jenkins; his mother Wynona Fithian; sister Pamela Jenkins all of Enid; brothers Jerome Jenkins (Darla) of Drummond, and Seth Jenkins (LeeAnn) of Enid.

David was preceded in death by his father Stanley Jenkins; grandparents Carl and Edith Langkiet, and Willy and Dora Jenkins; his sister-in-law Jyl Jenkins.
