ENID, OK - Each year Leonardo’s Children’s Museum raises funds for children to have access to the museum who cannot pay for it themselves. Friday, March 29th at 7pm the Building Futures Fundraiser will be held at the museum at 200 East Maple. Ticket holders will be welcomed for several types of entertainment throughout the children’s museum. Two new exhibits will be revealed, two live artists will be creating beautiful pieces of art and there will be live music by Steven Harwood on the piano. Guests can wonder through the children’s art and science exhibits and enjoy a scrumptious dinner, dessert and drinks. Panevinos Wine and Tapas Bar is creating an Italian feast for the evening and there will be a cash bar available.

The artwork is sure to amuse guests. These talented artists, Twyleen Tepe and Jena Kodesh will be creating masterpieces right before visitor’s eyes! Twyleen is a renowned local artist who uses fabrics and oil paint to create elegant portraits and enigmatic landscapes with nostalgic charm. Ms. Tepe’s paintings feature realism, impressionism, brocade fabrics, upholstery and rhinestones just to name a few tools she uses. Simultaneously Jena will be creating custom scarves as unique as the moment it is created. No two creations are the same and the technique is called marbling. Marbling is truly fascinating. This medium of art can be done with various materials, but Ms. Kodesh loves the outcome of working with the silk fabric of scarves.

Leonardo’s Board of Directors will be honoring several people and agencies that keep this children’s museum an Enid destination. Following a short presentation of the awards and reveal of the annual report some big activities begin. A silent auction and a live auction will offer some relaxing vacation opportunities, fine jewelry, auto racing dream packages and other unusual items to numerous to mention. Last year’s event raised over $30,000 for scholarship to be distributed for qualified needy families.
