ENID, Okla. (Jan. 7, 2019) – Wymer Brownlee Wealth Strategies, a holistic financial services firm founded in Fairview and headquartered in Enid, celebrates its 50thanniversary this month. In five decades, the company has grown from a home-based tax and accounting business to a multi-location wealth strategy firm whose advisors represent the largest independent affiliate of HD Vest Financial Services®, a national company providing resources to more than 3,000 advisors across the country.

“Our founder, Deane Wymer, built this company by putting relationships before business, being meticulous in his work and maintaining an unmatched work ethic,” said Kyle Brownlee, chief executive officer of Wymer Brownlee Wealth Strategies. “The people of northwest Oklahoma embraced our firm from the beginning, and as the complexity of their needs grew, we evolved our services to deliver more strategic advice that encompasses the complete picture of a client’s financial life.”
-
After three decades as a tax and accounting firm, Wymer Brownlee added investment management services to ensure investment decisions were made with tax implications in mind. Since that time, the company’s emphasis has shifted to focus on holistic financial planning and incorporate all aspects of clients’ finances. For business owners, this means not only managing bookkeeping and payroll but also consulting on human resources, information technology and marketing. For families, planning includes everything from cash flow and debt management to insurance policies, estate planning and creating a roadmap to financial independence.
-
“Our goal is to help clients identify and maximize all advantages available to them, so they can use financial resources to support their core values,” said Stephen O’Neill, senior wealth advisor at Wymer Brownlee. “Financial planning is about much more than being ready for retirement. It’s about managing finances in a way that enables you to enjoy life today, too – by traveling, giving generously to others or simply spending more time with loved ones.”
-
Wymer Brownlee was founded in Fairview in 1969 and opened its Enid headquarters in the early 2000s. The company acquired two firms several years later to establish a presence in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Bartlesville. Today, Wymer Brownlee operates five offices across Oklahoma, employs more than 50 people and manages roughly $600 million in client assets. A 50th anniversary celebration will be hosted at the firm’s headquarters in downtown Enid on Jan. 15.
