ENID, OK - The Enid High School and Enid Middle School Pom Teams will host a State Showcase in the Waller Middle School gym on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 7pm.

The Oklahoma State Dance Team state championship competition will be Jan. 4 & 5 at Oklahoma City University. EHS team members are defending academic state champions and defending 6A-2 jazz state runner-ups.

In addition to group performances by the high school and middle school state teams, several solos and small groups will take the floor at the showcase and the state competition:

· Soloists Lauren Jackson and Piper Tucker, advanced division; Chaney Tucker, intermediate division; and Alaina Vickers, junior division state champion.

· Small Ensembles Meris Miller/Piper Tucker, advanced division; and Chaney Tucker/Karsen Nunley, intermediate division.

· Large ensemble featuring Abby Cholerton, Lauren Jackson, Meris Miller, Karsen Nunley, Maggie Swann, Chaney Tucker and Piper Tucker.

Only the top three small ensembles and the top 15% of soloists qualified to compete at state.

The middle school pom team includes: Hailey Figueroa, Gabby Haro, Emma Holland, Ava Jackson, Adysen McCune, Madison Nulph, Libby Owen, Ashlyn Smith, Kirsten Smith and Alaina Vickers.

The state high school pom team includes: Elisabeth Armstrong, Montgomery Boler, Paige Broyles, Abby Cholerton, Abigail Culbertson, Baylee Fitzgerald, Lauren Jackson, Lyndsey Lewis, Margo Miller, Meris Miller, Karsen Nunley, Neveah Prock, Maggie Swan, Chaney Tucker and Piper Tucker.

It was a great day for the Enid High School Pom Team, who competed at the Tulsa State Fair Dance Competition, hosted at Tulsa Union’s UMAC on Saturday, October 27. Pom squads from across the state entered the competition including many of the larger Tulsa schools. Next up is state competition!
