A Celebration of Life Service for John J. Hatch age 77 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Thursday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

John was born July 5, 1941 in Kingman, AZ to Kaiser and Sarah Wallace Hatch and passed away at his home early Sunday, September 2, 2018. They moved to Cherokee, OK where he attended and graduated from Cherokee High School in 1961. He entered into the U.S. Army January 12, 1962 and retired in May 31, 1982. He worked with the Nike Herc Missles for 17 years. John married Doris J. Bruce on March 6, 1965 in Enid. He was a member of Liberty Southern Baptist Church. He served as a Deacon. After his retirement from the military, John worked as an appliance service tech for 15 years. He worked as a bagger at Vance AFB for 15 years. He worked as a handyman for Youth and Family Services. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, playing pool, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Doris of the home, daughter Stefanie J. Negelein and husband Darrel of Blackburn, OK, sons John J. Hatch and Donald J. Hatch and wife Elsie both of Enid, sister Grace Brinning of Cherokee, five grandchildren; Alanna, Heather, Rose, Gabriella, and Donnie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jeanette Stephens and brothers Kenneth and Chester Hatch.
Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Project or OMRF- Alzheimer Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
