Funeral service for Bill Melvin, 71 of Sparks, Nevada, formerly of Enid, will be 10:00 AM, Friday, July 13, 2018, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Frank Bushey officiating. Burial will follow in Square Cedar Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 5:00PM, to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Bill was born December 17, 1946 in Enid to William and Lois (Beckner) Melvin, and passed away to be with the Lord on June 30, 2018 in Nevada.

Bill graduated from Enid High School and served in the United States Army in Vietnam.

Bill is survived by his wife of 33 years Myra Melvin; his daughters Angie Melvin, and Amy (Kevin) Nichols: son Ken Plemmons; grandsons Myka Melvin and Jake Melvin; brothers Larry (Janice) Melvin, Ronnie (Freddie) Melvin; sister Anita (Wade) Readnour; former wife Sally Melvin; and many nephews and extended family.
