ENID, OKLA. ¾ Four Autry Technology Center students recently competed at the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference held in Dallas, Texas on May 9-13, 2018.

Sam Telinde, an Information Technology student, won 1st place and was crowned the national champion in Network Administration Using Cisco (Postsecondary). He also was awarded 1st place and named national champion in Computer Network Technology (Postsecondary) and placed in the top ten for Information Technology Concepts.

Chance Miller and Parker Tate, both Information Technology students, placed second and third respectively in the Network Administration Using Cisco (Postsecondary) contest.

These students also earned several Microsoft certifications while attending the conference.

BPA is a student organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields. The mission of BPA is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills. BPA is one of three CareerTech Student Organizations (CTSOs) at Autry. One hundred percent of Autry students participate in one of these student organizations.

Autry Technology Center has been a part of the Enid community since 1967 and is one of 29 CareerTech schools across Oklahoma. The center has more than 25 career programs and offers a wide variety of evening and weekend short-term courses and certifications for many diverse career fields. Autry serves nearly 16,000 individuals each year, including many area employees who receive training through the Business and Industry Services Department that works with over 500 local businesses each year.
