ENID, OK - Next week, Enid High School hosts its second annual celebration of future educators, Teachers of Tomorrow.
-
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16 from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. at the EHS library.
-
Teachers of Tomorrow was created last year as a way to recognize senior students planning on pursuing education as a career after graduation.
-
“We are proud of and grateful to these students for choosing education as their future career,” said Amber Fitzgerald, Executive Director of Human Resources and Communications. “Our state greatly needs its best and brightest to return to the classroom to make a difference for the next generation. We hope, after college, these EHS graduates will find their way back to our community to make EPS their school home.”
-
Teachers of Tomorrow is an opportunity to recognize future educators, as well as the teachers that have influenced and mentored them. College representatives from Northern Oklahoma College, Northwestern Oklahoma State University, and University of Central Oklahoma will be at the reception to speak briefly about their programs and campuses.
-
Students being recognized are Eva Ala Torre, Alyssa Coffey, Andrew Johnston, Rachael Killam, Monserrat Munoz Velasquez, Johnna Roberts, Emma Schmidt, Autum Talamante, and Raven Whitmire.
