Graveside services for Ruth M. Hillyer, 100, Enid resident, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the Waukomis Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Terry Chick officiating. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Ruth was born on June 19, 1917 in Peetz, Colorado, the daughter of Athana and Minnie Taylor Lindsay, and passed away peacefully on February 13, 2018 in Enid. She was raised on the farm in Peetz, and married Robert William Henry Harrison Hillyer in Colorado in 1934. They later moved to West Virginia where Robert was a coal miner. They returned to Colorado and in 1983, they moved to Enid. She was an active member of Bible Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Dorothy Lambert of Enid, and Anita Pelton of Enid; sons, Delbert Hillyer of Brush, Colorado, Terry Hillyer of Fayetteville, Arkansas; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in passing by her husband, two brothers and parents. The family has selected Bible Baptist Church as appropriate for memorial donations. Please make checks payable to Bible Baptist Church. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
