Doris Marie Jennings a loving mother, grandmother and friend passed away November 24, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Doris was born to Dorothy Lee Jennings and James Leon Jennings on July 2nd, 1946. She attended high school at McAlester High School. After high school she married Bob McKinnon and they had one child, Kelly McKinnon. Doris attended Beeches Beauty College in 1972 and graduated with a cosmetology certificate. She was a beautician until she married Jesse Dale James. Shortly after marrying Jesse, Doris started dental assistant school. Jesse and Doris retired and moved to Lake Eufaula to enjoy a life of fishing, family and good times until Jesse passed away. Doris was reunited with her life partner Charles Kelly who lived close by. They both moved to Enid in 2004 to be closer to Doris’s daughter and grandchildren. Doris loved reading, fishing, music, animals and family. She loved her children, grandchildren and friends unconditionally.

She is survived by her daughter Kelly Turner and her husband Derek Turner who she claimed as her own, her grandchildren Trevin Wilson of Mustang, Brayden Friedman of Enid, Jayce Turner of Enid. Pamela Newton of Enid who was with Doris until the end. Eddy (brother) and wife Linda as well as their children Mike and Shelly. Sandy (Doris’s long time best friend and trusted advisor) and Manny Brewer, Drake Kelly and his wife Janice, and their children, Leslie, Carol Ann, Carolyn, Samantha, Brendan, Destiny, Chrissy, Drake Jr (deceased), Devin as well as 7 great grandchildren. While losing Doris is a great loss, each of the family and friends she leaves behind are in good hands and now have one more guardian angel. Doris devoted her life to family and raised many children, sometimes even children that were not hers!

She is in good hands in Heaven with her Mother, Father, Husband and Nephew. Until the day we see you again, you are loved and appreciated beyond words.
