Don Everett Pereboom passed away on October 28, 2017, at the family home due to complications from congestive heart failure. He was 79.

Don was a native Oklahoman, born in Okeene, Oklahoma on March 19, 1938. He served in the Army in Korea and was a proud veteran. He was an award winning and accomplished designer and painter. He had a keen interest in people, places and was a collector of sentimental objects. He was a loving father, a helpful friend and a smiling face to anyone that would stop and visit.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Pereboom, of the home, and his children Lori and Leo Catanach of Haskell, Oklahoma, Ted and Susanne Pereboom of Hillsboro, Missouri, and his ex-wife, Janet Dennis of Haskell, Oklahoma, children Stephanie and Earl Smith of Enid, Oklahoma, Melanie Knier of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Katrina and Jim Maughan of Stillwater, Oklahoma, sister Karen Etherington of Tulsa, Oklahoma, brother William and Vivian Pereboom of Littleton, Colorado, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Bernice Pereboom and his sister, Patricia Paul.

A memorial service is scheduled at 2 pm, Wednesday November 8, 2017, at The Grace Place, 802 S Cleveland St, Enid, Oklahoma. A potluck reception will follow if you would like to gather with the family
