ENID, OK - The Ponca Tribe announced the development of a new casino to be located at I-35 and 412 in 2017. Fancy Dance Casino was to begin construction on 106 acres of land in March of 2018 but was delayed. The facility is located approximately 10 miles north of Perry.
-
Groundwork started recently on the actual location of the casino. Fancy Dance is expected to be a 10,000 sq. ft. building. The gaming venue will have 290 gaming machines and other amenities.
-
Construction on the casino is expected to take approximately nine months, pending any construction or weather delays. It is expected to employ approximately 90 full- and part-time employees when operational.
-
Upgrades were done to the on and off ramps at that area in 2018. The casino will be located on the SE corner of the intersection. A budget shortfall with ODOT would have further delayed the road portion of the project, but some tribal money was used to get the highway project done for the casino.
-
The name Fancy Dance comes from the recognizable style of dance that the Ponca Tribe is best known for. The name is a tribute to the contributions of the Ponca Tribe to the history and culture across Indian Country.
-
The Ponca Tribe has previously operated and closed Blue Star Gaming and Casino and the Two Rivers Casino. The Ponca Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma is located in north central Oklahoma and has a membership of 3,522 according to their website. They are headquartered in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Their tribal jurisdictional area includes parts of Kay and Noble counties.

What’s happening to the Casino Fancy Dance at I-35 and 412 the bridge and exits are all finished and no land braking for the Casino that was suppost to start in March?
I have not heard an update. They were still doing the ramps in March so that may have delayed the ground breaking.
Have you heard any updates on this? Is it still slated to be built?
Just glad Enid won’t make a penny on this casino. Hope no one drives to Enid for hotel
Is there a opening target day set yet?
