EYP 10 Under 40 Winners Announced Tuesday

ENID, OK - Enid Young Professionals received dozens of nominations from the community for their 6th Annual 10 Under 40 Awards, presented by Edward Jones. Below are the 34 finalists.

The 34 qualified nominees are Aaron Preston, Angela Lyon, Ashlee Gore, Benjamin Barker, Bradley Jennings, Brady Sidwell, Brittney Thompson, Carol Holston, Chip Baker, Chris Fagan, Clint Claypole, Demetrius Office, Holly Gannett, Jennifer Douma, Jessica Easterwood, Jessica Nickels, Kara Klamm, Kevin Boryczki, Captain Kinsley Jordan, Kristina Villalobos, Kyle Hockmeyer, Leslie Newell, Lewis Eggleston, Major Logan Draves, Maria Lopez, Mollie Bednarowski, Tandra Johnson, Teague Bickford, Tiffany Nels, Tim Campbell, Tisha Chastain, Todd Hamilton, Tyler Johnson and Valerie Trojan.

Winners will be determined by an independent panel of judges and announced at the EYP 10 under 40 awards luncheon, presented by Edward Jones, to be held on Tuesday, Aug. 22 at the Central National Bank Center Grand Ballroom.

“We had a great response from the community in our call for nominations,” said Kegan Tuohy, EYP president. “We have nominees representing several different industries and companies in the Enid area and we look forward to recognizing them at our awards ceremony.”

EYP also announced that Enid resident and former NBA player Brent Price will be the keynote speaker for the awards luncheon. Born in Shawnee, Okla., Price graduated from Enid High School in 1987 after leading the state in scoring as a senior with 27.4 points per game and capturing the EHS record for high scoring game with 54 points. Price went on to play at the University of South Carolina and eventually, the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in communications.

Price was drafted in the second round (32nd overall pick) in the 1992 NBA draft by the Washington Bullets (now Wizards). He played for Washington for three years, scoring his career high of 30 points against the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan. He signed with the Houston Rockets in 1996 and was traded to the Vancouver Grizzlies in 1999. In 2001, he was traded to the Sacramento Kings where he reached the Western Conference Finals.

He is now the co-owner of Jenkins and Price Industrial Chemical Supply and Ross Healthcare Enid. He and his wife Marcy have four children - Madison, Savannah, Elizabeth and Williams.
