John Diedrich Lohse, age 83, passed from this life peacefully at Garland Road Rehab and Nursing Center on May 24, 2017.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:00am at Covington Community Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Donaldson officiating. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
John was born February 22, 1934 in Covington, OK and was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Anna (Foth) Lohse, great-uncle, Henry Lohse, long-time partner, Shirley Cole and brother, Willie Lohse.
John served our country in the US Army from 1956 to 1958 in South Korea. He worked in the oilfield until 1992 and upon the death of his brother, he took up farming and house painting.
John is survived by sisters, Helen Lohse Brown of Enid and Marie Lohse Fischer; nephews, Dennis Fischer and wife, Wanda; Mark Fischer and wife, Debbie; niece, Denise Fischer Knouse and husband, Gene, all of Covington; and niece, Lori Lohse McVay of Sunneyvale, CA.
Memorials can be made in his name through the funeral home to Tri-County Senior Citizens Center.
