Players from 15 years to 70 years-old will take part in the sport that began in a back yard in the mid- 1960’s. Fast forward to 2019; Pickleballl is trending and becoming one of the fastest growing sports around. Why, might you ask? Well, Pickleball is ideal for all ages and skill levels; it’s a cross between ping-pong and tennis. People can learn to play for the sake of learning a new game. Americans are more health conscious, and some may play simply for the health benefits allowing one to work on balance, agility, reflexes, and hand-eye coordination. Pickleball is popular because it is a social activity, it allows players to hold in –person communication and conversations.

The DENNY PRICE FAMILY YMCA meets the demands for the sport. Incorporated into the Y’s programming, Pickleball enthusiasts can play all year round, and is an affordable choice for those seeking fun, fitness and camaraderie.
