The graveside service for Leila Frances Cumpston, 84 year-old Enid resident will be Friday, 10:00AM in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Diana Pruitt will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Leila was born August 25, 1932 in Enid to Wallace E. and Pearl E. (Cropper ) Walker and died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her family. She attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1950. She attended Enid Business college after High School. On Aug 27, 1950 she married F. Max Cumpston in Enid where the couple made their home. They later divorced.
She was a life-long member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and all kinds of arts and crafts, but being a mother was her gratest joy.
She is survived by her children, Chuck Cumpston abnd wife Gloria of Enid, Amy Cumpston, also of Enid, and Wally and Vickie Cumpston of Wichita, KS. Three grasdchildren, Kaleigh and Maddi of Wichita, and Eddie of Enid. One brother Joe W. Walker and wife Shirley of Austin, TX as well as several other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son Max.
