ENID, OK - The new Competition Gymnasium and Performing Arts Center at Enid High School is nearing completion.

Music and drama teachers, coaches and athletic directors, and the various other groups determined the types of spaces needed and looked at several ways to arrange the building. MA+ Architects created designs and renderings. (posted below)

In addition to more classrooms, the new Fine Arts facility will mean students can be introduced to more music and fine arts education with a facility to support band, chorus, dance, speech and drama. The design allows for repurposed space for the expanding student population.

“A new gymnasium will meet daily needs of student athletes,” said Brent Price, an EHS graduate and former NBA player. “Without such a facility, student athletes are seriously limited in their opportunity to practice, to be successful and competitive with other schools around the state.” The gymnasium includes facilities for wrestling, pom, cheer, volleyball, basketball, school assemblies and other activities.

The gym and arts facility is located on the south side of the high school. It is located between the cafeteria and the University Center and takes up much of the south parking lot. You can see more about the Enid Public Schools Strategic Action Plan HERE.
