Byron Lee Christie was born January 18, 1939 in Springfield, Colorado to Jess and Nancy (Conrad) Christie and passed away October 14, 2016 at his home in Lahoma.
From 1959 until 1963, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
On June 4, 1967, he married Sharon Crites at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid.
Byron enjoyed woodworking and being a cartoonist. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jesse, Raymond, Wendell, Mickey and Alvin; sisters, Patty Hume, Phyllis Rasor and Wanda Mills.
Byron is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; sisters-in-law, Penny Stover (Enos); Thelma Christie and Lois Christie; also numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be at a later date. A guest book is available at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Memorials are through the funeral home to Moccasin Children in Fairview, OK.
