Jack Buser, of Chickasha, OK, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the age of 63. Jack was born to Guy and Zelma Buser Jr. in Chickasha, OK. He grew up on the family farm as the youngest of three boys. After graduating from Amber Pocasset High School in 1971, he joined the United States Air Force. Jack was stationed at Sheppard AFB in TX, Elmendorf AFB in AK and Hill AFB in UT. In 1977, he and his wife had their only child, Cody Lynn, while stationed at Elmendorf AFB.
In 1980, upon honorable discharge as Military Police Sergeant, Jack and his family moved back to his hometown of Chickasha, OK where he worked for the Chickasha post office for 10 years and then Bob Lowe Inc. for the next 26 years. He also attained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from USAO, owned a small mowing business, farmed his own land, helped on the family farm, traveled the West Coast with his daughter and her significant other and regularly donated to the Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences Companion Animal Fund.
Jack was known as a witty, caring and compassionate storyteller. He was a creative, critical thinker that many depended on to help solve any issue they may have had from mechanical to personal. He will be missed and remembered most for his funny stories, witty humor and kind heart.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Cody Lynn Buser Bennight of San Carlos, CA his friend, Ryan Schofield of San Carlos, CA his mother, Zelma Buser of Chickasha, OK his brothers and sister in laws, Gary and Jeanne Buser of Owasso, OK, Robert and Jacquie Buser of Chickasha, OK his nephew and nieces, Michael and Susie Buser of Stillwater, OK, Mandie and Stephen Alexander of Norman, OK, Alicia and Grant Schwabe of Tulsa, OK, and Kimberly Buser of Dallas, TX his great nephews and nieces, Guy, Kaleigh, Cooper, Jake, Case, Scout, Ryleigh Jean and Oliver He is preceded in death by his father, Guy Buser Jr.; his grandparents, Guy and Ethel Buser and his stepchildren, Josh Clark and Sara Adkins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 19, 2016 between the hours of 1 and 4 p.m. at the First Christian Church’s Fellowship Hall at 202 S 6th St. Chickasha, OK.
