A private family graveside service will be held with internment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jerilyn was born on May 2, 1952, in Alva, Oklahoma and passed away at her home on August 9, 2016. She was the daughter of Floyd R. & Jeraldine D. (Strawn) Brier. She was a graduate of Alva High School and Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
She was united in marriage to Dennis K. Lakely on December 29, 1974.
Jerilyn was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and gardening, but tennis was her passion. She played and taught tennis to her children and was active in the Enid Tennis Association and Oakwood Country Club leagues.
She leaves behind many memories for Dennis, their sons Bryce and Inna Lakely of Issaquah, WA and Brock and Risa Lakely of Puyallup, WA and their daughters Karessa Lakely of Edmond, OK and Karen and Eric Bauer of Guymon, OK, along with six grandchildren: Brendan Lakely, Aleksander Lakely, Elizabeth Lakely, Zeke Bauer, Miles Bauer and Murphy Bauer. She is also survived by her brother Floyd R. Brier, Jr. and her sister Tina M. Parker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Enid Tennis Booster Club (Enid High School Tennis Program) with Brown – Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
