The funeral service for Staci G. Dittmeyer, 51 year-old Ames resident will be today at 10:00AM in the Ames Church of Christ. John Sheffield and Gordon Jantz will officiate. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Staci was born October 8, 1964 in Enid to Harley and Nellie Jo (Reynolds) Dittmeyer and died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in North Garland Nursing Home. She attended Ames schools and graduated with the class of 1985. She worked along side her Mother for over twenty years as a housekeeper. She was a life-time member of the Ames Church of Christ. She volunteered her time at the Fairview Public Library and at the North Garland Church Food Bank. Her volunteer work at the library was very special to her as she was a ferocious reader and “never met a book she didn’t like”. She was also a dedicated O.U. fan in good years and bad, she never gave up on them. She had recently just bought the latest O.U. magazine, looking forward to the upcoming season. She also enjoyed watching her cats and kittens sitting on her roof keeping a lookout! She was a dutiful and dedicated daughter and loved her parents very much. Welcome home Staci. No more pain and suffering. You were dearly loved and we will see you on the other side.
She is survived by her Mother Nellie Jo of the home, two brothers, Doug Dittmeyer and wife Marsha of Stillwater and Brent Dirrmeyer and wife Kathy of Enid. One sister, Deanne and husband Billy Clyde Rikli also of Enid. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Father Harley.
