Ruby Elizabeth Hale was born September 3, 1919 in Orlando, Logan County, OK to Albert A. and Emma (Hoffman) McCracken and passed away July 23, 2016.
She graduated from Marshall High School in 1937. In 1943, she married Jim Stoops. He passed in 1968. In 1971, she married Jack Castleman. He passed in 1998.
Ruby was a member of Garland Road Baptist Church and past member of A.B.W.A. Red Carpet Chapter and Women’s Auxillary of the V.F.W.
She worked for Barton Fruit Company for 11 years, then as Bookkeeper and Office Manager at Cromwell’s Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 1989.
On April 14, 2000, Ruby married the love of her life, a high school friend, Joseph C. Hale. Joe passed in 2011. After his passing, Ruby moved to the Commons in Enid. For the last two and a half years, she has lived at Westbrook Gardens in Purcell, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters and two brothers.
Ruby is survived by three step-children, Jerry Hale of Woodward, OK; Doug Hale of Weatherford, OK; Joell Gray of Purcell, OK and six step-grandchildren. Also, Ruby has twenty-three very dear nieces and nephews, who through the years, looked after her.
Ruby’s memorial service will be 2:00pm Monday, July 25, 2016 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.
