Leonard James Cranford, Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Ponca City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was 86 years old.
Leonard was born May 18, 1930, the son of Andrew J. and Etta M. Odum Cranford in Maysville. He grew up in Ponca City. He enlisted into the Air Force when he was 16 and retired from the military after 20 plus years. He married Maisie G. Preston. They had one daughter, Deborah Ethel Cornwell who survives as well as her husband, Paul;
Other survivors include, one sister and brother-in-law, Don and Earline Waters; three grandchildren, Shane James, Shlaina Janes and Shannon Criner; six great-grandchildren, Tamika Criner and Shaneika Criner, Bailey James, Karter James and Kenna James; four great-great-grandchildren, Peyton Mayse, Trinity Mayse, Sherry Davis and Blaizen Elliott.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maisie; grandson, Seandale James; great granddaughter, Dominika Criner; six brothers and six sisters and his parents. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
