A Celebration of Life for Leon Whitton, 89, of Enid, will be Tuesday, March 15, 2016, 10:00 AM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Kuschel officiating. Interment will follow in the Enid Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM Monday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Leon was born June 12, 1926 in Kiowa, Kansas to Herbert and Marie Whitton and passed away March 11, 2016.
After graduating high school in Wichita, Kansas, he entered the United States Army serving during WWII. Leon then received a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology at WSU and dedicated his life to serving children and adults with speech disorders.
Survivors include one son, Keith Whitton (Judi) of Edmond, OK, four grandchildren, Drew, Sara and Maci Whitton and Blake Livingston, a sister, Cliffie DeMoure of Wichita, KS. He was preceded in death by Lorene, his wife of 61 years and his daughter, Kerri Livingston.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leon Whitton Memorial Fund, which will be used to honor his love of birds. Online condolences may be left and the service may be viewed at www.ladusauevans.com.
