The funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Wood, 78, of Waukomis, will be held 2:00 Tuesday January 5, 2015 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born May 6, 1937 in Blackhawk, Mississippi to Ben Wesley and Francis (Woodard) Hart and past from this life January 2, 2016 at her home in Waukomis. She was the youngest of nine children. She married Gene Curry Wood on January 12, 1958 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. From their union were seven children born. She is survived by three daughters, Betty " Geanie" and husband Dennis Will of Hennessey, Jewell Wood of Enid and Roxie Acota of Hennessey; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gene Curry Wood, two daughters Betty Loraine Wood and Kathy Ann Henderson, and two sons Johnny Joe Wood and Jimmy Joe Wood. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.brown-cummings.com.
