Sears Makes Its Return To Enid
-
The Enid Sears and Automotive Center in Oakwood Mall closed its doors in January of 2015. But it didn't take long for new store owners, James and Jennifer Baker, to bring a Sears Hometown Store back to town.
-
The new store is located on North Van Buren, next to Sherwin-Williams and Dollar General, in the Mulberry Plaza Shopping Center. The store is now open.
-
The store carries a wide selection of appliances, lawn and garden items and tools, including Craftsman. When entering the store you'll notice a good variety of washers, dryers and refrigerators. You'll also pass by a nice selection of riding mowers, push mowers and other lawn care equipment.
-
Towards the back you'll find the Craftsman tool section with many other DIY type tools. At the front of the store there are two online kiosks that allow you to order directly from Sears online. You can order anything that Sears carries in their catalog including siding.
-
Baker said, "We get in three trucks a week and can get your item in-store in just a few days". He also stated, "Many times items delivered to the store or to your door will include free shipping". They do not carry TV's in-store due to the quick turnover in new models but the Sears Hometown Store can help you order any television in the catalog.
-
Sears Hometown Stores are not catalog stores. The Enid store has 5300 sq. ft. of retail space and carries major brand merchandise right in the store. They are primarily independently owned and operated.
-
Baker is proud to announce that several experienced employees from the mall location will be returning to the Hometown Store. Matt Dalton, GB Bonham and Jayson Kowalski will be on hand to answer your questions and help you with your purchases.
-
Store hours will be 9:00am - 8:00pm, Monday thru Saturday and 12:00pm - 6:00pm on Sunday. The store address is 1729 N. Van Buren. You can Like them on Facebook or visit their website.
-
Stop by and check out the store and let them know that Enid Buzz sent you. A grand opening is scheduled for October 3.
