OKLAHOMA - On Thursday, April 27, Oklahoman's may call a statewide hotline for free legal advice from 9:00am to 9:00pm. Callers statewide may call 800-456-8525 to speak with a volunteer lawyer at no charge. Several hundred attorneys statewide volunteer to make the "Ask A Lawyer" hotline possible.

County bar associations across the state are also participating in Ask A Lawyer in their own communities. To speak to a member of the Garfield County Bar Association in the Enid area call 580-234-0436 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

This year will mark the 41st year OBA members offered free legal advice to the public. Last year, two hundred and seventy-two attorneys answered 1,421 phone calls and 300 emails, in both English and Spanish, across 32 different counties. Volunteers donated 483 hours in time and $72,450 in billable hours.
