ENID, OK - What was once old is now young again. The Youngblood Grille has brought food service back to the one time Youngblood Hotel located in downtown Enid.
The Youngblood Cafe once occupied the space on the first floor of what is now known as the Independence Tower. The Youngblood Hotel was a main gathering place for local residents and those travelers visiting Enid, Oklahoma.
The first thing that will strike you when you enter The Youngblood Grille is how inviting the restaurant is. The bright yellow chairs have a retro look but an ultra modern feel. The view out onto Maple is spectacular and seeing the architecture across the street will give you a feeling of what it must have been like back in the day.
The eatery is now open for breakfast and lunch. Grab breakfast Tuesday thru Friday from 8:00am to 10:00am and 11:00am to 1:30pm. Lunch is served Tuesday thru Saturday from 11:00am to 1:30pm. Breakfast is served 8:00am to 1:30pm on Saturday.
Owners Mickey and Mandy De La Cruz have created a fantastic menu including classics like Fish & Chips, Pot Roast, Cincinnati Chili and more. Appetizers include Dynamite Shrimp, Gravy Fries, and Fried Clams.
Featured sandwiches are the Meatloaf, Monte Cristo, Meatball Sub and Salmon Burger. Sides included the world famous pepper supreme fries, mashed potatoes, roasted cauliflower, sweet potato fries, fired okra and more.
The breakfast menu features Youngblood Chicken and Waffles, Country Biscuits and Gravy, Chilaquiles and Omlets. You can also enjoy the classics like ham, sausage, bacon, eggs, bagels, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, pancakes and muffins.
A very popular section of the restaurant features a healthy salad bar loaded with fresh items daily. Dine in or carry out by the container. Carry out salad bar charged per oz. so fill it up! Employees working in the tower can call and have lunch delivered to their office.
Owners of Independence Tower asked Mickey and Mandy, who also own Pane Vino, to operate the establishment. They were also selected as the premiere caterers for the Independence Tower Ballroom and Oak Room. The two spaces are open for public use and Mandy can cater weddings, parties and other social events.
