Hall of Fame
Each year, the Enid Public School Foundation inducts deserving honorees into its Hall of Fame. Recipients are either graduates of Enid Public Schools who have contributed greatly to their communities or fields of work or those who have made a significant contribution to Enid Public Schools.
The banquet is typically hosted each September or October, and the event includes a special reception for honorees and their guests. The actual "Hall of Fame" is displayed inside the Enid High School Food Court, where current students can read about their lives and accomplishments.
Oklahoma Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb and the Pat Blevins family were the 2013 inductees.
Honorees are chosen based on their contributions to education, community and their profession.
Todd Lamb is the son of Norman and Belva Lamb of Enid. He is chair of the National Lieutenant Governor’s Association Executive Committee and Vice Chair of the Aerospace States Association. He also recently organized the Oklahoma Commission on School Security. Todd has a background as a US Secret Service Agent as well.
The Blevins family own the Jumbo Foods and Save-A-Lot stores. They are always one of the first to help out when there is a need and contribute greatly to many causes in the Enid area.
The 14th annual Hall of Fame Banquet was held Tuesday night in Gantz Hall on the campus of Northern Oklahoma College.
Enid Public School Foundation was created in the late 1980s to maximize the quality of Enid Public Schools by funding innovative classroom projects and materials. EPSF funds three specific programs through the generosity of contributors: Grants to Teachers, Teacher Scholarship and SMARTBoards. Since its inception, the organization and its donors have contributed nearly $500,000 to the school district. The foundation’s endowment has grown to more than $516,000.
