Education Support
"CDSA received a venture grant from Enid United-Way to fund a program called Project: PASS.
In 2014, BIG changes are coming to the GED test. Project Pass promotes the empowerment of students by providing a comprehensive approach connecting the five (5) considerations with an emphasis on each students individual needs and environmental support. Each of the considerations must be promoted to begin the process of building a solid foundation of college readiness. Following are the considerations:
1. Critical Knowledge and Content
2. Psychological/Cognitive Strategies
3. Academic Attitude and Mindset/Behaviors
4. Skills, Awareness, and Understanding the “culture” of college
5. Social/Emotional Connections with Mentoring Individuals
For more information on this program you can find it here.
In an effort to get as many people certified as possible, we will assist adults with the testing fees to take the GED test. If you or someone you know is ready to take the test but needs help paying, contact the Non-profit Center (580) 242-6131 and ask for Tracey.
The application is short. We only need two things to determine if you are eligible: photo id and pay stub. We can also accept verification that you receive assistance from low-income programs like food stamps, medicaid or TANF. If you complete the application and provide the documentation you can receive your voucher in the SAME DAY! Funding is limited and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis as applicants are eligible. "
