THE CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR VIVIAN IRENE LUCKERT WILL BE HELD AT 2:00 PM, SUNDAY, JANUARY 19TH, 2025 AT CEDAR RIDGE WESLEYAN CHURCH WITH PASTOR RON OLSEN OFFICIATING
VIVIAN IRENE (HARTON) LUCKERT, AGE 94, WAS BORN IN COVINGTON, OK AUGUST 27TH, 1930 TO CHARLES AND MARJORIE HARTON AND WENT TO MEET THE LORD ON JANUARY 3RD, 2025 AT THE COLONIAL ESTATES ASSISTED LIVING CENTER IN SHAWNEE, OK
VIVIAN GRADUATED FROM GARBER HIGH SCHOOL IN 1948 WHERE SHE EXCELLED IN HER STUDIES AND BASKETBALL BEING APART OF THE 1945-46 GIRLS STATE BASKETBALL TEAM
AFTER GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL VIVIAN MET THE LOVE OF HER LIFE RICHARD LUCKERT THROUGH MUTUAL FRIENDS AND WERE MARRIED ON NOVEMBER 5TH, 1949 AND REMAINED
MARRIED UNTIL THE PASSING OF HER HUSBAND IN 2017
THEY RESIDED AND STARTED A FAMILY IN THE ENID AREA AND EVENTUALLY MOVED TO CAREER,OK TO THE FAMILYS CENTENNIAL FARM IN 1963 WHERE HER AND HER HUSBAND RAISED THERE CHILDREN AND FARMED UNTIL 2004
VIVIAN WAS A DEVOTED CHRISTIAN AND WAS HEAVILY INVOLVED WITH CHURCH PLAYING THE PIANO AND ORGAN, TEACHING SUNDAY SCHOOL AND HOSTING BIBLE STUDIES VIVIAN LOVED WATCHING OU AND OSU SPORTS, SEWING, COOKING, AND MAKING MEMORIES WITH HER CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN THAT WILL BE FOREVER CHERISHED
SHE WORKED AS AN ADMINISTATOR ASSISTANT FOR DR MARKELS OFFICE FOR SEVERAL YEARS UNTIL FULFILLING THE LORDS CALLING TO WORK FOR CEDAR RIDGE WESLEYAN CHURCH AS A SECRETARY UNDER PASTOR MAX COLELAW UNTIL HER RETIREMENT
HOWEVER VIVIANS MOST TREASURED ROLE WAS BEING A WIFE, MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER TO WHICH SHE SET AN EXAMPLE FOR ALL
SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER ONLY SON JOHN R LUCKERT, GRANDCHILDREN: KAECIA AND JACK WEST, DUSTIN LUCKERT, ELEXA AND KEVIN VANFOSSEN, JANIE AND JEREMY McGARITY, JOSH AND LACY GARLOW, JACOB AND JESSICA GARLOW, JOSIE AND JAMES DEBUS, RACHEL AND STEVE NAPOLI, SARAH AND JAY McCLURE, MARY AND TRAVIS GAFFORD 29 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND 5 GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN
VIVIAN WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS CHARLES AND MAJORIE HARTON, HER HUSBAND RICHARD LUCKERT, BROTHERS: KENNETH, CHARLES, DALE AND WILLIAM HARTON, DAUGHTERS: CAROL(LUCKERT) GARLOW AND KATHY (LUCKERT) GOAD, GRANDAUGHTER MELISSA NEWMAN
THE FAMILY WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE MANY WONDERFUL HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AT COLONIAL ESTATES AND TRADITIONS HOME HEALTH AND HOSPICE FOR THEIR LOVING CARE AND SUPPORT THEY ARE ALL TRULY ANGELS ON EARTH
