Betty was born October 4,1925, South of Ringwood to William F. Stricker and Ellen Weathers Stricker. She attended Cimarron Valley grade school and graduated from Ames High School in 1944.
After graduating she worked at the telephone office in Enid during WWII. She married Chester Little on July 2,1945 while he was home from Germany on his way to Japan. Their first home was SE of Ames where they built a four-room house and farmed. In 1959 Betty began working as a wheat loan clerk at the ASCS office in Enid until retirement so she wouldn’t have to milk cows! The family moved to Enid shortly after and lived there until 1970, then moved back to the farm. Betty really enjoyed talking on the phone to friends and family, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles and sewing.
She is survived by two daughters Diane Faught of Enid, Gale Kirchner and husband Leslie of Amarillo, TX and son Larry Little and wife Sharon of Weatherford, OK. Also one brother Jim Stricker of Houston, TX, eight grandchildren, Cindy Benson and husband Michael of Enid, Kim Atteberry and husband Chris of Monument , Colorado, Ryan Faught of Enid, Misti Gregston and husband Chris of Weatherford, Mike Long of Tulsa, Marti Long of Oklahoma City, Colby Kirchner and wife Carrie of Canyon, TX and Kayla Kirchner of Amarillo. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother John Stricker, son- in -law Robert Faught and two sisters Anna Mae Snodgrass and Inez Fisher. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
