Betty Jo was born January 26, 1929 in Wichita, Kansas to Glennard and Hallie (Tucker) Imel, and passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Baptist Village in Enid, Oklahoma.
Her family moved to rural Altamont, Kansas in 1945. She finished her senior year at Labette County Community High School, graduating in 1946. She married Paul Eichhorn in May, 1946. Together they had two children, Judy, and Mike. Betty worked several different jobs until she and her good friend Jean Miller opened B & J Trophy and Lettering, which they operated for approximately 30 years. She was a avid bowler, winning many awards and trophies, and she also liked to go fishing when possible. She was involved in many activities in the small town of Altamont, as well as with her church, the First Baptist Church of Altamont, and the Senior Citizens group. She loved her friends and family and enjoyed being around them; she was always a very busy lady. She loved the Lord and is at peace with him now. She will be missed by anyone who knew her.
