Anna Clariece Burns

June 19, 1927 - July 19, 2024

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Anna Clariece Burns, 97, of Waukomis, will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday July 25, 2024 in the Hennessey Church of Christ with Pastor Tucker Fuxa officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.

Anna was born June 19, 1927, to Aurthur Burt and Ester Childs Pattison on the family farm in Seminole County and passed from this life July 19, 2024 in Claremore, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Seminole County graduating from Seminole High School with the class of 1945. She moved to Shidler Oklahoma with her family where she worked in a drug store. She married Melvin “Chick” Burns March 23, 1946, from this union came two children, David and Judy. The family moved to Borger, Texas. They returned to Seminole where she was a homemaker and raised her children and cared for her family. In 1962 the couple moved to Waukomis.

She is survived by her son David Burns, of Claremore, Oklahoma, one grandchild, four great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chick Burns, daughter Judy Spoonmore and one grandson Bradley Spoonmore.

Memorials may be made to the the Disabled American Veterans with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
