Funeral services for Destiny Dawn “Dee Dee” Boone, 59, Waukomis resident, will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 18, 2024 in the Waukomis Christian Church with Pastor David Jones officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Destiny was born on February 8, 1965 in Mobile, Alabama, the daughter of Marvin Earl and Sherry Angela Hodges Boone and passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2024 at her residence. She moved to the Enid/Waukomis area as a child. Destiny attended the Waukomis School System. She enjoyed interior decorating, gardening, bargain shopping, and watching Sooner Sports, Thunder Basketball, Seal Team 6. She was a secret hoarder but always kept things looking neat and tidy. Destiny was quite sassy and stubborn and always drove way too fast.
Survivors include two daughters, Tiffany Renee and husband Chris Smith of Enid; Tasha Sherrae Young and Bryann Martinez of Waukomis; son, Terry Eugene and wife Lacey Young of Waukomis; twelve grandchildren Makenzie Shoate, Katlyn Metcalfe, Tanner Metcalfe, Hailey Martinez, Addison Martinez, Brylee Martinez, Maven Burroughs, Kaia Smith, Emeri Smith, Bentley Young, Bodey Young, Blakely Young; two great-grandchildren Kennedy Bunner, and Baby girl Shoate on the way; sister, Jenny and husband Greg Wood of Mountain Home, Arkansas; brother , Earl and wife Katie Boone Louisiana, brother, Chad and wife Kathy Smith of Alabama; sister, Dena Ross of Tulsa. Destiny was preceded in passing by her parents, sister, Angie Baker, step-father, Gyle Stanford Ross.
