The Celebration of life for Melissa Marie Cronister Scanell, 49, of Enid will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 22, 2024, in the Kremlin Community Center. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.
Melissa was born November 4, 1974, to Cindy and Calvin Cronister in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life June 13, 2024, in Enid, Oklahoma, surrounded by family.
She was raised and educated in Enid graduating from Enid High School in 1993. She worked as a Certified Nurse Aide at Highland Park Manor until 2008 when she became medically unable due to an accident. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family sitting by the campfire, taking walks, searching for unique rocks, and watching documentaries on ITV. She was a free-spirited gypsy and a fierce protector of her family.
She is survived by the love of her life Justin Conrady, her mother and stepfather, Cindy and Robert Simmons; two children, Kesha Cronister and Colby Long and his wife, Justice; two grandchildren, Calvin and Riddian, and another due in September; a very special niece, Brianna Lynch; four sisters, Michelle Beutelschies and her husband Zack, Jennifer Johnson and her husband Brian, Jennifer Wilson and her husband Rodney, and Ashley Sanchez and her husband Dulce; two brothers: Josh Cronister and Bradley Simmons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Cronister and her grandparents.
