Mickey Ray Mittelstet

February 24, 1952 - April 23, 2024

A service to celebrate Mickey’s life will be held on April 29th, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory at 3002 N Van Buren Street in Enid, Oklahoma. Following the service, Mickey will be laid to rest at the cemetery in Aline, Oklahoma. Visitation with the family will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mickey Ray Mittelstet was born February 24, 1952 to Edward and Rachel Mittelstet in Aline, OK and passed away on April 23, 2024 in the arms of his beloved at their home in Mannford, Oklahoma.

Mickey graduated from Aline High School in 1970. He attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University for one semester, prior to working for OG&E in Oklahoma City. He married the love of his life, Dee, in 1974. They raised their six children in Enid, Oklahoma. In May they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He enjoyed time with his grandkids. His hobbies included fishing, reading, watching sports and movies, and card games.

He worked for Farmland in Enid, Oklahoma for 25 years. Mickey and Dee moved to Mannford in 2004. He worked for Holley Oil Refinery in Tulsa until his retirement in 2015. He enjoyed living by the lake and lazy days on his boat. He and Dee also enjoyed traveling together, especially traveling to see their kids and their families.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers to accompany Mickey on his final journey.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Rachel, sisters Katy and Donna, and brother Carl. He is survived by his loving wife, Dee, and six children Chris, Shawna, Aaron, Chad, Rebecca, and Carla, sister Vicky and brother Eddie. He is leaving behind 13 grandkids and one great granddaughter.

Mickey Mittelstet will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
